Dryer components

A dryer typically consists of three main components and often has some additional accessories.

The main components are:

• The drying bin for holding the grain;
• The fan for moving the air through the dryer and the grain;
• The air distribution system; and
• The heating system for pre-heating the drying air.

In addition dryers can have various accessories for automatization and monitoring the drying process.
