To install the tutorial for ORYZA2000, follow the steps:
Make sure that you installed the ORYZA2000 model first (see Installing ORYZA2000).
Click the setup button above. This will result in the folder C:\COURSE with a number of subdirectories.
Remove the read-only properties of the whole directory COURSE on your hard disk C, including all subdirectories and all files. To do so, click with the right-hand button of your mouse on the COURSE folder that you just have installed, and go to ‘properties’. There, you will see the option ‘read only’. Remove the tick in the box ‘read only’, and when prompted, assure that this is done for all subdirectories and folders.
It is important that you do not change the name or the path of this COURSE directory and that it is installed straight onto the C drive since all directory paths are preset in the exercises. You are now ready to start the exercises of the ORYZA2000 tutorial.
If the model ORYZA2000 does not run on your computer with the exercises of the tutorial, the following three problems are the most likely causes:
The directory COURSE (with all its subdirectories) is not installed directly on C drive but on some other drive. It is important that you install the directory COURSE straight onto the C drive since all directory paths are preset in the example runs.
The read-only properties are not removed properly. Check that any read-only properties of all directories, subdirectories and all files are removed. Else, ORYZA20000 cannot overwrite existing output data files, or cannot make any changes to input data files (or source code files).
Instead of running FSEWinRunOnly, you may have run FSEWin. This Shell assumes you have FORTRAN on your computer. You may have to install the tutorial again on your computer.
