| Crop growth depends on, among other things, nutrients. Both macro- and micronutrients are essential for plant growth and if a plant does not get enough of a particular nutrient it needs, the deficiency symptoms show in the general appearance of the plant. Macronutrients are those elements needed in large amounts by the crop, and large quantities have to be applied if the soil is deficient in one or more of them, while micronutrients are those elements required in very small quantities. | ||
